Cabarrus College of Health Sciences focuses on health sciences education and offers master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees as well as diplomas, certificates and continuing education on a non-residential campus. The Cabarrus College of Health Sciences campus was a $9.3 million campaign built solely by community support.

Radiation Oncology and Levine Cancer Institute (LCI)-Concord provides access to top-ranked physician expertise, groundbreaking clinical trials and the latest cancer treatments, all in state-of-the-art facilities. Access to this high level of care is made possible through the meaningful investments of donors.

The Heart & Vascular Tower at Atrium Health Cabarrus actively provides the region with a full-service heart care program in affiliation with the heart specialists from the nationally recognized Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute (SHVI). The Cannon Heart Center provides complete care from stress testing to cardiovascular surgery, as well as cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation through our Wellness Center.

The Emergency Department (ED) at Atrium Health Cabarrus and the two free-standing Emergency Departments in Harrisburg and Kannapolis offer award-winning, 24/7 emergency medical treatment for a variety of symptoms and conditions. The EDs feature special centers such as Fast Track and Triage, in addition to our Chest Pain Center. Care is delivered in a Level III Trauma Center by an expert staff and includes physicians who are board-certified in Emergency Medicine.

The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation Endowment was created in 1994 so donors could support Atrium Health Cabarrus and make an impact lasting longer than a lifetime. Endowments are ongoing funds which may be established for a specific purpose designated by the donor and provide the hospital with a long-term financial resource. An endowed fund is “the gift that keeps giving,” because it generates annual income for the hospital.

The Greatest Need Fund gives the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation flexibility to fund areas of patient care that have the most urgent needs. Donations made without a designation are directed to our Greatest Need Fund which enables the Foundation to respond to changing circumstances within the hospital.

Jeff Gordon Children’s Center is a 53-bed children’s hospital located on the campus of Atrium Health Cabarrus for pediatric patients from birth to age 18. It provides highly specialized, exceptional pediatric care close to home. Jeff Gordon Children’s Center was a $9.5 million community campaign, built solely by community support, designed with our children in mind. Jeff Gordon Children’s Center offers a wide range of services.

The Neurosciences Institute-Neurology at Atrium Health Cabarrus is leading the way by serving as the flagship in neurology and neurosurgical care for the Atrium Health System. Board Certified Neurologists work in both inpatient and outpatient settings alongside a network of specially trained nurses, clinical assistants and support staff. Our community benefits from the advanced 24/7 neurological care.

The Surgery Center at Atrium Health Cabarrus serves patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Surgical Services are provided both at the hospital and through an outpatient Surgery Center, which features 21 state-of-the-art operating rooms. Surgical services include general surgery as well as specialized surgeries by over 60 surgeons, all of which are board certified or board admissible. 

Women’s Services has access to over 20 physicians specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Neonatology and Urogynecology. The Mariam Cannon Hayes Women’s Center is home to Maternity Services, the Women’s Health Unit and a Level-IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It can provide high-risk obstetric care and care of neonates in the NICU close to home and is just one of eight hospitals in North Carolina with a Cord Blood Program.

Outside of the Foundation’s 10 main areas of support you may choose one of our 3rd Party Fundraiser initiatives supported by our community partners or a Designated Campaign such as: Lights of Love, Karen Goforth Focused on a Cure, the Veterans Recognition Program or many others.

Planned gifts and charitable bequests are legacy investments that support the wonderful care given at Atrium Health Cabarrus in perpetuity through wills, cash, equity or property. Creating these ultimate gifts of support places donors into a special group known as the 1937 Society.
