Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation Announces 37th Annual Foundation Fashion Week on October 24
Annual Event Brings Community Members Together for One Spectacular Night of Fashion and Fundraising
CONCORD, N.C.
The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial and community support for Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) NorthEast, is excited to announce the date for the 37th annual Foundation Fashion Week. This year’s event will be held on October 24 at the City Club at Gibson Mill.
“Foundation Fashion Week is such a fantastic event! It’s a fun evening that combines fellowship with community volunteerism and raises money to enhance our own CHS NorthEast,” said Jon Yancey, Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation Chairman of the Board.
The Fashion Show brings together members of the community and CHS NorthEast for the latest trends and tastes of Cabarrus County. Many of the stores displaying looks on the runway and the vendors for the evening are all locally owned and operated. This year’s event chairs are county residents Barbi and Craig Jones, Kelly and Trent Propst and Nicole and Will Lisk, as well as Sarah and Brent Mullis, MD, who are all extremely active in the community through their work and philanthropic activities.
Since its inception in 1981, Foundation Fashion Week has raised over $1.5 million directly benefiting CHS NorthEast, and will continue to benefit the 10 major areas of support – Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, Cancer Services, Cardiac Services, Endowment, Emergency Services, Greatest Need, Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital, Neurosciences, Surgical Services and Women’s Services. This year’s event will coincide with the 80th Anniversary of CHS NorthEast, and the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation has set a goal to raise over $80,000 to celebrate.
