In 2017, CHS NorthEast broke ground on the “Modernization Project” on the campus of CHS NorthEast.  The building will house all cardiac services including advanced imaging and our sickest, most vulnerable cardiac patients.  We have a staff of very qualified physicians, nurses, technical staff and leaders committed to improving care within our community.

The Modernization Project allows a cost-effective solution to the diagnostic and procedural space by creating a state-of-the-art facility for tertiary cardiac services.   It also creates efficient, patient-friendly, easily accessible facilities for treating patients in a clinically complex service line.  This project has involved the key stakeholders, and most of all, we have taken the patients perspective into consideration with planning this new space.  It is a community resource that incorporates our mission of improving health, elevating hope and advancing healing for all we serve.

We have a comprehensive cardiovascular service line with access to advanced heart care through Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute (SHVI). The space will truly improve and consolidate the care of the patient, and the location of the building centralizes cardiac services so we are closer to the Emergency Care Center for quicker access to the catheterization lab.

We are excited to share the impact the Modernization Project will have on our community. The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation will continue to update our donors and supporters on the project as it progresses.
