The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation’s 38th Annual Foundation Fashion Night was a huge success thanks to our community! Our over 650 guests in attendance helped us raise enough money to present a check to CHS NorthEast President Phyllis Wingate for over $91,000 for our hospital.
The event was held on October 23, 2018 at the City Club at Gibson Mill. It featured apparel from 12 different stores and boutiques being modeled by 67 community and hospital volunteers. Hosts Beth Troutman and Hade E. Robinson, Jr. bantered about the models, the fashions, the stores and CHS NorthEast keeping those in attendance entertained throughout the night.
Prior to the event, was the second year of a “Taste of Cabarrus.” Eight restaurants and three beverages companies prepared food and drink for the guests with everything from a carving station and kabobs, eggplant rollatini and pork sliders, to Oreo pie shooters and coconut macaroons. Guests could enjoy their food with donated beer, wine, bourbon, coffee, tea and water!
Attendees had the unique opportunity to Vote2Give this year via their phones. There were 12 teams comprised of one store, its models for the event and a service line the Foundation supports within the hospital guests could vote for leading up to the event and that night. A total of $7,000 was raised through Vote2Give with Team Cardiac Services leading the charge.
The event has now raised over $3 million since it began 38 years ago to provide funding for innovative programs, specialized equipment and additional needs for CHS NorthEast to fulfill its mission to improve Health, elevation Hope and advance Healing for all.
