Annual Event Brings CHS NorthEast and Community Members Together for One Spectacular Night of Fashion and Fundraising

CONCORD, N.C. (September 4, 2018) — Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation is excited to announce its 38th Annual Foundation Fashion Night to be held Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the City Club at Gibson Mill.   The signature event benefiting Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast raises funds to support innovative technology, special programs and critically needed projects for distinct areas of our hospital.  The event also brings together members of the community and hospital showcasing the latest style trends from local boutiques and shops, as well as a “Taste of Cabarrus” with over 10 restaurants preparing signature appetizers and desserts from around the county.

This year’s community co-chairs, Ashelea and Reid Chaney, Nicole and Will Lisk and Sarah and Brent Mullis, MD, are working hard with Foundation staff to make this year’s event the biggest Fashion Night yet.   New stores, restaurants and sponsors are being added to the event along with long-time supporters of the Foundation to raise funds for our award-winning healthcare facilities.

“The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation Fashion Night is truly an event the whole community can get behind,” said co-chair Nicole Lisk.  “Models this year live in Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis and Salisbury. Some work for the hospital, some volunteer and some are first-time supporters of the event. Models of all ages will be participating, with the youngest being 5 years old. The same can be said for the restaurants and sponsors, who come from all surrounding areas of the community. It will truly be an evening to remember as we come together for one common goal!”

Back for a second year to co-host the evening is Cabarrus County native and Emmy-Award winning journalist Beth Troutman, and Carolina Style Guy and Nordstrom Styling Sales Manager Hade Robinson.  The dynamic duo brought smiles and laughter to over 600 guests in 2017 as they bantered about fashion, their love of this community and even personal experiences with CHS NorthEast.

As of today, 11 stores from the area will be participating in the fashion show.  Returning from last year are 3 jem’s boutique, Adair Style Studio, Hampton’s Men’s Clothing, Neta’s Childrens & Ladies, Nordstrom SouthPark and Pretty Please Boutique.  New to this year’s lineup are Cabarrus Country Club Golf Pro Shop, Hope’s Bridal Boutique, Love You Back Boutique, Lovely Lines Boutique and Virginia’s.  The stores and boutiques represent some of the finest locally-owned shops in the county from Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Locust and Salisbury.

Now in its second year, guests will enjoy a “Taste of Cabarrus” leading up to the runway show with restaurants, bakeries and beverage companies serving delicious bites and drinks.  Signature hors d’oeuvres will be prepared and served by 2 Gals Kitchen, 73 & Main, Afton Tavern, Cabarrus Arena & Events Center, Gianni’s Trattoria, Local 25, Restaurant Forty Six and The Smoke Pit.  Guests with a sweet tooth will enjoy desserts from Dough New York Style Bakery and The Sweet Life.  Supporter of the Foundation, Cabarrus Brewing Company, will once again be serving up its cold brew to guests in attendance.  New this year will be bourbon tastings from Southern Grace Distilleries out of Mount Pleasant.

The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation would like to thank its top-level sponsors: Charlotte Radiology, S&D Coffee & Tea, Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates, NorthEast Anesthesia & Pain Specialists, PA, Shoe Show, Inc., US Acute Care Solutions, Ben Mynatt Family of Dealerships, Cabarrus Animal Hospital, Bill and Debbie Dusch, TEAM HONEYCUTT/Allen Tate Realtors and Wells Fargo.  Sponsorships are still available for Foundation Fashion Night by contacting the Foundation office.

General admission tickets are on sale now for $50 ($20 of the ticket price is tax-deductible), which includes attendance to the Fashion Show, food and beverages, the Annual Fashion Show Magazine with vendor discounts and a free gift.  Tickets can be purchased at www.GiveNorthEastFoundation.org or by calling 704-403-1369.
