Susan G. Komen Charlotte awarded $119,994 to the CHS NorthEast Breast Health Outreach Program in 2018, bringing their total amount invested into the program to more than $1.8 million since 2001.
The purpose of the grant program is to reduce barriers to care and help people enter and progress through the continuum of care for breast health and breast cancer. The program also addresses disparities by providing free breast health services to individuals in Cabarrus County, where death rates and late-stage incidence rates are highest in the local area.
