GREATEST NEED

Donations made without a designation are directed to our Greatest Need Fund. The Greatest Need Fund gives the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation flexibility to fund areas of patient care that have the most urgent needs. It also enables the Foundation to respond to changing circumstances within the hospital.

SPIRITUAL CARE AND EDUCATION

The Spiritual Care and Education Department serves the patients, families and teammates of Atrium Health Cabarrus by providing spiritual and emotional support and guidance, end of life support and advance care planning, education and facilitation. Chaplains are on duty 24/7 to respond to patient traumas, deaths and a wide variety of crisis situations throughout the hospital.

BREAST HEALTH CENTER

The Breast Health Center at Atrium Health Cabarrus offers a full range of clinical, medical and support services including the latest technology in screening, diagnoses and treatment. It is the only regional Breast Health Center with mammography, ultrasound, diagnostic, biopsy and MRI capability.

CHILDHOOD OBESITY PROGRAM CHILDREN WIN

Approximately 34% of Cabarrus County residents ages 0-18 years were overweight or obese when the program began. Atrium Health Cabarrus developed a plan of action for addressing the problem in our area including health/physical education, nutrition education throughout grades K-12 and policies to decrease the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages
